Elkhart Lake holds a special place in the hearts of the VS Village House owners, Jimmy Vasser, James "Sulli" Sullivan, and Laura Cooper-Arnold.
Jimmy Vasser: As the 1996 CART Champion, Jimmy has a deep-rooted connection to Road America, having raced there throughout his entire career. He considers it one of his favorite tracks and locations to visit. His love for Elkhart Lake goes beyond the track, as it’s a place where he has created lasting memories.
James "Sulli" Sullivan: Sulli, a Dallas businessman, is deeply passionate about racing at Road America. Not only does he enjoy competing on this iconic track, but his family also loves visiting Elkhart Lake. In 2022, Sulli and the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team, along with Jimmy, celebrated a significant victory at Road America. The team marked their win with a memorable celebration at Siebkens Tavern, a renowned spot for racers, solidifying their special bond with the village.
Laura Cooper-Arnold ("Coop"): Laura's connection to Elkhart Lake began in 1998 during college, working at resorts like Barefoot Bay and Siebkens Resort. It was at Siebkens that she met her future bosses, leading to her first professional racing job at Newman Haas Racing. Laura was a full-time resident of Elkhart Lake for 14 years. Later in her career, she joined Jimmy and Sulli at Vasser Sullivan Racing, and the rest is history.
